二、Exhibition Overview

1、Exhibition Introduction

The Southwest China (Sichuan) Blueberry Industry Expo closely follows the new trends in the blueberry industry, focuses on the forefront of the industry, and showcases internationally leading innovative achievements in blueberry seedlings, planting technologies, and intelligent equipment. Through product promotion, technical exchanges, and business negotiations, the expo aims to activate new productivity in the blueberry industry and promote its sustainable and high-quality development in Sichuan and even nationwide.

2、Review of the previous session

The 2025 China Southwest Blueberry Industry Expo was held jointly in two locations. The Sichuan leg was held from May 16th to 17th at the Western China International Expo City in Chengdu. Concurrently, the "Smart Agriculture Assisting Industry Upgrading and Blueberry Industry Development Conference" was held, bringing together experts, scholars, and enterprise representatives. Keynote speeches covered blueberry planting and deep processing technologies, fertigation, and other related topics. During the conference, the "Sichuan Provincial Smart Agriculture Technology Association Berry Industry Development Committee" was established, laying the foundation for industry resource integration and quality improvement. The Yunnan leg was held from August 20th to 22nd at the Dianchi International Convention and Exhibition Center in Kunming. Concurrently, the "Southwest Blueberry Industry Development Technology Exchange Conference and Substrate and Soil Improvement Exchange Conference" was held. Representatives from all parties provided in-depth analysis on topics such as the current status and trends of the industry, variety optimization, substrate cultivation, and technological innovation, offering suggestions for the high-quality development of the industry.

The two exhibitions, linked and sharing resources, brought together leading brands such as Shanghai Huawi, Chengdu Bion, Xichang Xinhe, Sichuan Youxianmei, Xiaoyu (Beijing) Technology, Yunnan Wutian, Yunnan Bornte, Yunnan Unicorn, Kunming Gaoxuanyue, German Biocare, Sichuan Haoshiji, Chengdu Xinchaoyang, Sichuan Guoguang, Chengdu Zhipeng, Hebei Bafei, Qingdao Zifei, Leima Agricultural Film, China Lesso, Tianjin Tongfeng, Beijing Huadun, Hebei Weichen, and Chongqing Xinglian Yunke. 3、This year's planning

The 2026 China Southwest (Sichuan) Blueberry Industry Expo will be held from May 30-31, 2026 at the Western China International Fair in Chengdu, Sichuan. Building upon the success of 2025, this year's expo will be upgraded to focus on the advantages and needs of Sichuan's blueberry industry, inviting high-quality exhibitors and buyers, further integrating resources across the entire industry chain, and continuously creating an efficient platform for connections between growers, producers and processors, research institutions, and sales channels.

三、Market Background

The fruit industry in Sichuan is a crucial pillar for rural revitalization and increasing farmers' income. Besides traditional advantageous industries such as late-maturing citrus and kiwifruit, the blueberry industry has experienced rapid development in recent years. Leveraging its unique climate, Panzhihua, Xichang, and Anren have become core production areas for high-quality blueberries in Southwest China. In 2024, Sichuan's blueberry cultivation area reached 150,000 mu (approximately 10,000 hectares), with a total output of about 85,000 tons, ranking among the top in the country in both cultivation area and output.

However, the blueberry industry in Sichuan also faces regional challenges: the low temperatures in the western Sichuan plateau during winter can easily damage the flowering period, and poor drainage in the hilly areas of southern Sichuan during the rainy season can cause root diseases. Traditional planting methods have low precision in soil pH control, difficulty in pest and disease control, and uneven irrigation in mountainous areas, resulting in large fluctuations in yield per mu.

Currently, blueberry growers in Sichuan have a growing demand for advanced blueberry cultivation techniques, standardized planting facilities, intelligent greenhouses, precision water and fertilizer systems, soil monitoring equipment, and other products and technologies. There is an urgent need for advanced technologies and equipment to address development challenges and promote the industry's transformation from "scale expansion" to "quality improvement."
